Citrus Zest Sous Vide Chicken Breast {Whole30, Paleo, Keto}

This sous vide citrus zest sous vide chicken breast is an easy way to get started with sous vide cooking. The citrus zest marinade adds a delicious flavor that pairs with any vegetables. Chicken is one of my favorite proteins to introduce people to sous vide cooking because it makes such a difference in the flavor.

Equipment

  • Immersion Circular
  • Freezer bags or a vacuum sealer
  • Non-stick skillet
  • Stovetop

Ingredients

  • 1 Boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 1-2 tbsp The New Primal Citrus Zest dressing
  • 1 tbsp Avocado oil or ghee

Instructions

  • Place chicken and 1-2 tablespoons of The New Primal Citrus Zest dressing in a bag. If using a vacuum sealer. Hang the bag off the side of the counter to prevent the dressing from preventing a seal.
  • Let marinate for 2 to 24 hours.
  • Cook chicken sous vide for 2 hours at 140℉.
  • If cooking ahead, refrigerate sealed chicken until ready to serve. Once ready to serve, remove chicken from the bag and pat dry.
  • In a non-stick skillet with a small drizzle of avocado oil or ghee, sear chicken breast on both sides for 30 seconds to one minute on each side.
